Patency of the Artificial Ostium after Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.

Abstract
|

|
Not only middle meatal antrostomy but also frontal sinusotomy and sphenoidotomy now become routine procedures in endoscopic sinus surgery. Long term patency of the artificial openings of each of the sinuses and factors influencing the patency of
those
openings could be evaluated in 55 patients(105 sides). Patency rate of the ostium of maxillary sinus was 96.2%, Sphenoid sinus was 94.1%, while that of frontal sinus was 75.8%.
